Selected Performances and Public Speaking
Last year, I had the honor of speaking at my high school's graduation ceremony. This video documents that speech as well as my participation in the Advanced Jazz Band's final performance.
As a senior member of my school's jazz band, I got the opportunity to perform a solo song at our winter concert at the historic Herbst Theater. This is my take on "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" by Duke Ellington.
My friend Amelia and I performed Patsy Cline's "Crazy" at a benefit concert for Bread and Roses Presents last year. (2018)
This year, I was thrilled to take part in my school's production of Kander and Ebb's classic musical Chicago. Here is a video of me and my fellow cast members performing "All That Jazz." This performance was an absolute blast, and I felt so lucky to play Velma. (2018)
One of my favorite numbers from Chicago was "Cell Block Tango," a terrifying peek into the sensationalized lives of the murderesses in the play. (2018)
I recently had the chance to sing "The Wizard and I" from Steven Schwartz's Wicked, a musical I've loved since I was a child. It was tremendously fun to sing! (2018)
I performed Carol's monologue from David Mamet's Oleanna as part of my audition for CSSSA's theatre program. I have since continued to work on each line and dig into the specific language of the performance, but I am proud of my delivery of the monologue here. (2018)
Last year, I performed the role of Adolfo Pirelli in Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The operatic nature of my role was a challenge, but it was so fun experimenting with the comedic edge of Sondheim's writing and crafting such a melodramatic character. (2017)
I performed one of my favorite classic arrangements of a poem, Benjamin Britten's "Down by the Salley Gardens" for my school's Blues Jam, a celebration of performing arts and music. (2017)
Slide Ranch, a historical outdoor education site in Marin County, created this video as a part of their fundraising efforts to expand their resources and facilities. I was both the voiceover artist and actor for this short and was honored to participate in such a wonderful project. (2016)
I had a wonderful time performing Tessa's role in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. This opera intensive allowed me to combine the fun of Gilbert and Sullivan's complex music with incredible instruction from classical professionals. (2016)
